Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify stores using Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Shopify theme architecture.
- Build and modify custom Shopify themes and reusable sections/blocks, ensuring responsive, accessible UI.
- Implement store features such as product pages, collections, navigation, search, cart, checkout (where applicable), and customer account experiences.
- Integrate and configure Shopify apps and third‑party services (payments, shipping, ERP/CRM, email/SMS marketing, analytics).
- Ensure cross-browser/device compatibility and follow best practices for accessibility and responsive design.
- Maintain clean, version-controlled code (Git), documentation, and deployment workflows; follow QA and release processes.
- Adhere to Shopify and security best practices, including data privacy and secure handling of credentials.
Required Skills/Experience
- Bachelors degree with min 2–4+ years of experience developing and customizing Shopify themes (Online Store 2.0).
- Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid (objects, filters, tags) and building sections, blocks, snippets, and JSON templates.
- Solid front-end skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+) to deliver responsive, mobile-first storefront UI.
- Experience customizing key storefront pages (product, collection, cart) and working with metafields/metaobjects for dynamic content.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for theme/Liquid issues, cross-browser compatibility, and conflicts caused by storefront apps.
- Working knowledge of performance and SEO basics (Core Web Vitals awareness, asset optimization, semantic markup).
