Compensation: $80,000 - $95,000
Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines to collect, transform, load, and curate data from a variety of internal and external sources.
- Integrate and extract data by connecting to third-party APIs, ensuring seamless data acquisition and enrichment.
- Develop efficient, production-quality code to transform raw data into structured datasets for analytics, reporting, and machine learning purposes.
- Build and optimize data transformation pipelines using dbt (Data Build Tool) to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Write, modify, and automate scripts in Python, SQL, and related technologies to support data processing and workflow automation.
- Manage and update lookup and mapping tables as needed to support robust data models and processing workflows.
Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 2+ years of professional experience, with at least 1–2 years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
- Minimum 1 year of experience developing data transformation pipelines using dbt (Data Build Tool).
- Proven ability to write complex and optimized SQL queries across large and diverse data sets.
- 1+ years of experience programming in Python, preferably in a Linux environment.
- Strong background in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience using GitHub or similar version control systems for collaborative, production-level code management.
